Cost of course: £675 – to include:
- The 12 Modules contained in the on line Theory Course (£75.00)
- 5 practical working days (practical massage, blending, discussions, Q&A sessions, Tutorials)
- 1 Assessment day – either face to face, in a class setting or as online Zoom tutorials and recorded final treatment.
- Marking and grading of modules, assignments and case studies.
- Aromatherapy Diploma issued with ABT insurance package details/or Aromatherapy Diploma issued with ABT insurance package and Associate Membership of the IFA – International Federation of Aromatherapists.
All essential oils used in the practical classes are provided by Suzanne. Essential oils are an additional cost and can be bought over the first few months of training. The course tutor, Suzanne Le Quesne, will provide all the carrier oils and essential oils needed for the training itself – and only uses 100% pure essential oils by Young Living.
Practical Day 1 – on this first day we will look at your oils – label them, and place them in your carrying case in alphabetical order.
There will be a demonstration of an aromatherapy back massage – using a pre-blended oil, as discussed by the group – and students will practice on each other.
There will then be an aromatherapy foot massage with an introduction to Vitaflex, again using a pre-blended oil chosen by the group and time for students to practice on each other.
Practical Day 2 – Day 2 will start with an aromatherapy backs of legs massage demonstration, using a pre-blended oil as chosen by the group. Students practice on each other. A facial massage will then be demonstration and students practice on each other. Day 2 will end with a Q&A session.
Practical Days, 3, 4, 5 will be learning the legs, arms, abdomen massage and practicing of the full body massage. On this day we learn blending techniques and create blends for yourself and your classmates. There is time to practice both the blending and the practical massage techniques. Consultation Skills are discussed as is giving after care advice and how to set up a practice.
Written Paper – for any student wanting to attempt the written paper on any of these days, time will be allocated to them, either before or after the demonstrations and practical sessions.
